COMERCIAL TERMS (From 14/03/2013)

Our net rate offer includes:

• Basic insurance (CDW, TP)
• Unlimited mileage (except group I, J, L & M: limited 200km per day - extra km 0.25€ VAT incl., and rentals medium/long term: limited to 425km a week - extra km 0.22€ VAT incl.)
• Tax (I.V.A)

The insurance excludes:

• Lost or damaged keys, punctures, damages to the underside of the vehicle, fines management, damages to tyres, wheels & glasses. SolMar offers coverage of tyres, glasses, fines management and clutch for 4,50€+VAT per day (max. 63€ per rental). This is optional and will be offered to the customer on arrival.
• Undercarriage & inside damages, traffic fines and non accidental breakdowns are neither covered.

Important Information:

• The following documents are necessary when collecting the car: Passport or DNI, driving licence and a valid credit card.
• Sol-Mar accepts all major credit cards such as Amex, Visa, Diners, etc. On arrival, payments must be done with CREDIT CARD, cash is not accepted. The credit card must be in the name of the main driver on the contract.
• The reservation does not refer to a specific vehicle (make, model, etc) but rather a group of vehicles with similar technical and design characteristics.
• Sol-Mar reserves the right to cancel the delivery of the vehicle in case of doubts about the financial capacity of the client, outstanding debts or any serious incidents with Sol-Mar.
• Driver licence:

All drivers must be at least 21 years old and in possession of a valid driving licence for at least three years. For rentals of group I & J, a minimum age of 28 years is requested

Drivers under 25 or who have held a licence for between 1 and 4 years must pay 4€+VAT extra per day, up to a maximum of 48€ per rental

Unlimited mileage:

The mileage is limited for groups I, J, L & M, to 200 km day. Each additional mile will be charged at 0.25€ (VAT inc). And rentals medium/long term limited to 425km a week additional mile will be charged at 0.22€ (VAT incl.)

Fuel policy:

Sol-Mar delivers all cars with a full tank of fuel. The car must be returned empty. Solmar will not make any refund for the unused fuel. For 3 days rentals, clients will be asked to pay half of the tank and to drop the car off half full of fuel.

Diesel extra charge. If the requested vehicle is Diesel there is an extra charge from 3€+VAT/day.

If the customer does not return the vehicle with fuel agreed, there will be a refueling service charge of 18€+VAT, plus fuel missing.

Rental length:

The rental dates are computed in 24-hour periods, counted from the exact time customers collected the vehicle until they return the vehicle, with its keys and documents to Sol-Mar. The courtesy period for returning the vehicle is 59 minutes.

Sol-Mar allows bookings to have a rental length of max 89 days. After this date the contract cannot be extended and no other new contract can be done.

If the car is returned before the agreed drop off date, Sol-Mar will refund for the unused rental days.

Car Hire contract extensions:

Contract extensions will be valid as long as the rent does not exceed 29/03 or 01/07. If the client requires the vehicle after these dates, SolMar will make the contract until the 28/03, and a new one from the next day. The same will be applied for high season.

Customers must return the vehicle on the date and time indicated in the preceding section. For an extension of the rental period, customers must go to the closest Sol-Mar office to sign an extension document. Agreements cannot be extended by phone or by any other means of electronic communication.
If in the original contract the customer purchased the Full-Full policy, the extension must re-pay the amount of this extra, if not, the fuel tank will be charged and policy changes to Full - 0.

Fine Management Fee:

If the vehicle receives a fine during the rental period, you will be responsible for full payment of the fine as well as a 30€+VAT traffic fine management fee.

OPTIONAL EXTRAS

• One way rentals:

  One way rentals are available between all Sol-Mar locations for the car groups A to E. Please find enclosed the corresponding charges.

  The location codes are:

  AE/AV/SJ/DT: Alicante, Valencia San Javier Airports and Downtown locations.

  BC/GE: Barcelona and Gerona Airport

  SG: Santiago Airport

  All one ways will be charged whichever the length of the rental.

• Baby & booster seats:

  Seats have to be pre-booked. They are available for 3,50€+VAT per day with a maximum of 50€ per rental. Sol-Mar does not have seats for babies between 0 and 9 month!

• GPS:

  This needs to be requested in advanced. The price is 6€+VAT/day maximum 60€ per rental. A credit card will be requested in order to ensure the guarantee of 100€. This sum will be refunded, unless the GPS is not returned in the same conditions.

• Excess:

  Sol-Mar reserves the right to make effective an excess in any of its locations, but it is mandatory for Barcelona and Santiago Airport. The client can waive this charge applying locally the SCDW:

  • From Gr. A to Gr. D there is an excess of 550€ or 5€+VAT/day.
  • From Gr. E to Gr. H there is an excess of 700€ or 7€ +VAT/day.
  • From Gr. I to Gr. M there is an excess of 1.200€ or 12.4€ +VAT/day.

  There is a maximum charge per contract equivalent to a 14 days rental.

  Payments not done by credit card will be obliged to take the SCDW.

• Snow chains:

  This needs to be requested in advance. The price is 6€+VAT per day maximum 50€ per rental.

• Border exit:

  Sol-Mar allows driving the car to Germany, France, England, Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Portugal and Andorra.

  It is forbidden to drive the vehicle to other countries other than those mentioned above.

  It is necessary to take out special cross border insurance; the cost THIS travel insurance is 10€+VAT/day, with a minimum charge of 30€+VAT.

• Additional driver:

  Three additional drivers can be added to the contract for an extra charge of 3,50€+VAT per day, each additional driver, max 60€ per rental.

• Night handling:

  Sol-Mar offers out of hours service (22:00 to 08:00 h) at all airport locations. Bookings need to have a valid flight number. An extra charge of 30€+VAT will be charged on pick up or return of the customer.

  Bookings which delivery is between these hours should have, obligatory flight number, mobile number and credit card from the customer; if its a no show, the company will charge on this card the amount of 30€+VAT. Client who wants to return the vehicle between these ours, will be, also, charged 30€+VAT, for Return Afterhours.

• Late return fee:

  The return of the vehicle more than 59 minutes over the stated end time of the rental contract will generate a charge of 20€+VAT per day plus an extra amount corresponding to the additional rental days, (with a minimum of 20€+VAT and one day rental charge).

L.P.D (Data Protection Law)

Following the Spanish Law regarding the personal data protection (Ley Orgánica 15/1999 of 13th December) and the services of the information and e-commerce society (law 34/2002 11th July) Sol-Mar Alquiler de Vehículos SLU, informs that all the clients personal data supplied by the partner, will be added to a personal data computer file, whose responsible is the company, in order to keep and manage the contractual relationship with the customer, as well as for marketing information of car hire or other related activities.

This personal data file will be properly registered in the Spanish Data Protection Agency whose purpose is to preserve the security, integrity and privacy of the provided personal data.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BOOKINGS PAY NOW

In general terms, users can access to the reservation service freely and without charge.

The voucher you have purchased may be exchanged for the rental, inclusive of VAT, of the selected vehicle for the dates you have booked, along with the items specified as being included in the price when you make your booking at the rates quoted to you by us.

All other optional equipment and services (ex. special equipment, additional drivers, optional insurances, fuel, additional days…) will incur additional charges, which you must pay directly to the Local Supplier either when you pick up or return your vehicle.

Any group change, improve or change client wants to make in its reservation, and is possible, there will be an additional charge, paid directly to the local supplier when collecting the vehicle.

When the client, because of its age, does not comply with the comercial terms of the supplier.

In case that the chosen rate involves the obligation of leaving an excess, this will be charged in the credit card at the time of picking up the vehicle.

To enforce the rent in the form of "Pay Now", the customer must present at the office the same credit card with which the prepayment is made on the Web, and that they hold, and the credentials corresponding (passport or ID) for proper identification. In the course of being different driver and card holder with which cleared the prepayment of the booking, you will need also the driver and holder are present at the time of picking up the vehicle, signing both the contract agreement. Failure to comply with these requirements may not be paid the rent.

If you cancel your booking a cancellation fee of 25€, will apply by way of compensation to Sol-Mar Alquiler de Vehículos, who will refund the amount obtained by deducting the amount paid in advance the cancellation fee of 25€.

If you fail to pick up your vehicle within 24 hours from the reservation date and time shown in your booking an amount of 95€ by way of compensation will be due to Sol-Mar Alquiler de Vehículos, who will refund the amount obtained by deducting the amount paid in advance the cancellation fee of 95€.

In order to obtain a refund of the amount you have paid for your voucher (where applicable) you must write requesting the money be refunded. The letter requesting the refund must always be signed, and may be mailed, faxed, or scanned as an attachment in an email.

The refund will be made on the same card that the client used to make the rent payment (reservation). If that card is not operational at the time of the return the client must send a bank account (with 20 digits) which will make the cost of their own transfer by the amount resulting from the refund.

For the avoidance of doubt no refund will be given by Sol-Mar Alquiler de Vehículos, if:

a) You do not use any part of your reservation period; or

b) You change your booking and the charges for the Rental Services are less than the amount you paid for the original booking.
